Council to light up buildings for Shopmobility and Cystic Fibrosis

Published: 16th June 2017

Fermanagh and Omagh District Council will recognise Shopmobility Omagh, Shopmobility Enniskillen and the Cystic Fibrosis Trust this month by illuminating Enniskillen Castle and the Strule Arts Centre, Omagh in coloured lighting on selected dates.

On Wednesday 21 June 2017, Enniskillen Castle will be lit green and the Strule Arts Centre blue for Shopmobility Enniskillen and Shopmobility Omagh respectively as part of the first annual Shopmobility Day. Shopmobility loans mobility equipment to people who have long-term or short-term mobility difficulties.

Both buildings will then be illuminated yellow on Friday 23 June 2017 for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust as part of Cystic Fibrosis Week. The Cystic Fibrosis Trust provides support and promotes research into new treatments for Cystic Fibrosis; a life shortening genetic condition that slowly damages the lungs and digestive system.

Enquiries regarding illuminating Council properties and charity support should be made to Louise McLaughlin, Fermanagh and Omagh District Council’s Community Services team, by telephoning 0300 303 1777 (calls charged at local rate) or by emailing louise.mclaughlin@fermanaghomagh.com.
