Children’s Fun Run at Enniskillen 10K

Athletes of the future will have their chance to be part of the Enniskillen 10K by participating in the event’s Kiddie Kanter on Saturday 13 June 2015.

The Kiddie Kanter, which is suitable for children of all ages, will take place at 12 noon sharp on the grass playing fields beside Enniskillen Castle. Races are scheduled for age groups between Primary 1 and Primary 7.  There will also be a Toddler’s Trot for pre-school children. The main 10K Road Race and Leisure Walk will then start at 2 pm at Fermanagh Lakeland Forum, Enniskillen. Entry to the Kiddie Kanter and Toddler’s Trot is free and registration is not required.

Encouraging families to come along to Fermanagh Lakeland Forum, Enniskillen, on Saturday 13 June, Chairman of Fermanagh and Omagh District Council, Councillor Thomas O’Reilly, said:

“Fermanagh and Omagh District Council is committed to providing opportunities for residents to lead a healthy and active lifestyle. I am particularly delighted that our very young people have the opportunity to be part of the Enniskillen 10K event.

As well as the Kiddie Kanter there will be plenty of children’s entertainment on the day such as face painting and bouncy castles from 11 am to 3 pm.

Everybody is welcome to come along and join in the fun.”

Registration for the Enniskillen 10K Road Race and Leisure Walk is currently open.

Paper entries for the Enniskillen 10K Road Race and Leisure Walk must be received by 5 pm, Wednesday 3 June, while online entries will be accepted until midnight, Sunday 7 June 2015. To enter the Enniskillen 10K Road Race and Leisure Walk online, please visit www.enniskillen10k.com.

Late entries will also be available from 10 am at Fermanagh Lakeland Forum on Saturday 13 June. Participants are encouraged to register online where possible to secure their place as late entries on the day cannot be guaranteed.

Due to the amber weather warning, all Council offices and facilities are closed for the remainder of today, Monday 16 October 2017. We are currently working on the basis that Council services will resume as normal tomorrow (Tuesday 17 October 2017) however we will be keeping this under review. This position may change depending on weather conditions.
