Published: 29th July 2015

As part of the International Beckett Festival, which runs from Thursday 23 July – Monday 3 August, Fermanagh and Omagh District Council has organised a Sports Day on Saturday 1 August 2015.

The Beckett Sports Day will run from 12noon – 2pm at the Fermanagh Lakeland Forum and includes Football and Track and Field activities. The sessions are free of charge, however spaces are limited and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. The Sports Day events are for children aged 7 – 11 years.

Speaking about the sessions, Chairman of Fermanagh and Omagh District Council, Councillor Thomas O’Reilly said:

“Samuel Beckett was not only a Nobel Prize Winner but also a sports enthusiast who participated in various sports. Therefore it is fitting that children can participate in these activities in a safe and fun environment”
