An exhibition showcasing the work of members of Ardess Art Society has opened at The Higher Bridges Gallery, Enniskillen.

The annual Ardess Art Society members’ exhibition was officially launched on November 12 by local arts activist and Education Authority arts advisor, Noelle McAlinden.

Ardess Art Society was founded in 1986 by local artist, Dorothy Pendry. Its members, who come from Fermanagh, Donegal and Tyrone, meet on the first and third Saturday in each month from October to June in Ardess Parish Hall, to improve their painting by learning from each other and from visiting tutors.

The exhibition, which features more than 60 pieces of artwork ranging from watercolours, oil, acrylics, mixed media and drawings, will continue at The Higher Bridges Gallery until Saturday 5 December 2015. The Higher Bridges Gallery is open Tuesday to Friday, 10.00 am to 4.00 pm and Saturday 11.00 am to 3.00 pm. Admission to the gallery is free.

The Higher Bridges Gallery is located within the Clinton Centre on Belmore Street in Enniskillen.
