Achieving a better quality of life for our people, communities and place is a key priority for Fermanagh and Omagh

Following extensive consultation and data gathering , the council and a range of partners have drafted the first ever Fermanagh and Omagh Community Plan, together with a Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA).

A Preferred Options Paper (POP) and related Sustainability Appraisal has also been drafted as part of the preparation process for the new Local Development Plan.

Both documents will be launched on Monday 3 October 2016 for a period of 8 weeks consultation. In advance of the consultation a series of 4 information news bulletins have been prepared to explain Community Planning and the purpose of the Local Development Plan, Preferred Options Paper. They highlight some of the evidence and data which has informed the documents content and provides information on engagement opportunities.

13 public workshops will also take place throughout the Fermanagh and Omagh district during the months of October and November and details of these are outlined below:

Aughakillymaude Community and Mummers Centre, Derrylin 16th November at 7.00pm
Omagh Enterprise Centre, Omagh 17th November at 7.00pm
Rosslea Community Centre, Enniskillen 22nd November at 2.00pm

Due to the amber weather warning, all Council offices and facilities are closed for the remainder of today, Monday 16 October 2017. We are currently working on the basis that Council services will resume as normal tomorrow (Tuesday 17 October 2017) however we will be keeping this under review. This position may change depending on weather conditions.
