In the elegant setting of Castle Coole, the Sunday afternoon concert will feature the South Korean born pianist, Young Choon Park. A precocious and promising player, she gave her first recital when she was seven and performed the Beethoven Piano Concerto No. 1 with the Seoul Symphony Orchestra at the age of nine. She studied at the Julliard School in New York and gained the highest Masters Degree at the Hochschule in Munich.

To date, Ms Park has given over 700 recitals and concerto performances in 33 countries and made numerous television and radio broadcasts. Praised for her real passion and style as well as her outstanding technical proficiency, she is currently recording the complete Mozart piano concertos for Duchesne World Records in Belgium. Her programme will include the Beethovan Sonatas No. 1 in F Minor Op. 2 and Sonata No. 3 in C Major Op. 2, the Humoreske in B-Flat major Op. 20 by Schumann and Chopin’s Scherzo in B-Flat minor Op. 31.
