About the Event

Active Communities ‘Walk Active’ Programme

Fermanagh and Omagh District Council has identified quality rural walks for this year’s summer programme.

Each walk is between 3 – 7 miles and will be led by qualified walk leaders.

 

Evening Rural Walks

Week 1: Wednesday 27th May, 6.45pm

Meeting point: Seskinore Forest Car Park – Forest Trail (~3 miles, light woodland walk)

 

Week 2: Wednesday 3rd June, 6.45pm

Meeting point: An Creagan Car Park – An Creagan Forest Trail (~3.5 miles, light gravel walk)

 

Week 3: Wednesday 10th June, 6.45pm

Meeting point: Omagh Leisure Complex Car Park – Cycle Path/Bridge Walk (~4 miles, road walk)

 

Week 4: Wednesday 17th June, 6.45pm

Meeting point: Gortin Glens Car Park – Ladies Trail (~3 miles, fairly strenuous hills and forest trails)

 

Week 5: Wednesday 24th June, 6.45pm

Meeting point: Barnes Gap Car Park – Vinegar Hill Walk   (7 miles, challenging gravel track hills/road walk)
