About the Event

Fri 2  Fermanagh Live Festival 2015 presents Victor’s Dung by Seamus O’Rourke

The Ardhowen, Enniskillen 8 pm.  £10, concession £8

Actor, playwright, director, Leitrim man, Seamus O’Rourke, has become well known in the theatre world for tackling serious contemporary social issues through humour and with the help of some very quirky but recognisable rural Irish characters like Padraig Potts, the Trappe Family or Victor Maguire. O’Rourke’s much loved comedy; Victor’s Dung is set in a farm yard, complete with its very own dung heap, outdoor toilet and rather poor broadband reception. The bold Victor Maguire is a crude, vulgar, abrupt, un-PC Cavan farmer who gets a surprise one Friday morning. We are then taken on a whirlwind journey through Victor’s somewhat sad and unconventional life, meeting up with many a strange bucko along the way…Hold on to your hats… and your sweets (because there may be Cavan people in the audience)… this could get messy. Fermanagh Live is delighted to welcome Seamus O’Rourke back for another year to the festival. Contains some strong language. Victor's Dunghttp://www.ardhowentheatre.com
