About the Event

Camowen Band of Brothers

This new production written to commemorate the 100th Anniversary of the Battle of the Somme is a tribute to the 15 men of Camowen Temperance LOL 1016 (Edenderry) and the many Ulster Volunteers who served their King and Country during World War 1.  This moving performance is dedicated to the immortal memory of all those who served in the “Tyrone’s” and made the supreme sacrifice in one of the bloodiest battles – the Battle of the Somme, 1st July 1916.  The cast of “In the Footsteps of Heroes” and Nicola Moody and The Moodettes will be joined by the 9th Battalion Royal Inniskilling Fusillers Corps of Drums Band to bring yet another moving and poignant act of remembrance to our stage.
