About the Event

A one day conference on ‘Shared Remembering’, will take place on Saturday 7 November in the Tara Centre, Omagh from 10.00am – 4.15pm. Organised by Omagh Churches’ Forum in association with Fermanagh and Omagh District Council, the conference will examine the legacy and potential of 1916, the year of the Easter Rising and the Battle of the Somme.

The two key note speakers at the conference will be by Dr Eamon Phoenix, history lecturer at Stranmillis College, and Dr Johnston McMaster, theologian at the Irish School of Ecumenics.

The conference is open to all sections of the community and participants do not have to have any church affiliation.
