About the Event


 An Creagán are hosting their first ever Feast of the Earls Banquet. Discover the entertainment and food that awaits you as you dine with warriors of the Cineál Eoghain group and revel in live music and storytelling. Partake in a sumptuous dinner and delight in traditional songs and instrumental music. The includes entrance fee, food and entertainment. An Creagan’s Arts officer Martin Cassidy said “We are so excited about this event. The centre will be transformed into a period of history making visitors feel they have gone back in time. From arrival guests will be welcomed by costumed hosts, walking through the warriors encampment who themselves will be cooking over open fires, telling stories and playing traditional instruments.” A themed menu will fill visitors belly’s as they wash it down with local craft beers. Guests are encouraged to dress up to add to the celebrations. Local man Bryan Ward who will be part of the entertainment was one of 12 men from across Ireland invited by President Michael D Higgins to take part in Bealtaine Fire procession at the Sacred Centre of Ireland, The Hill of Uisneacht. Chairperson of the Cineál Eoghain Group Martin Mellon who will take part in the event said  “The Council of the Cineál Eoghain with considerable assistance from The Ancient Clan O’Neill are delighted to be taking part in this feast. It is our hope to reconnect people with their history, culture and traditions in a meaningful way.
