The Esposito String Quartet

Founded in 2010, The Esposito String Quartet features Mia Cooper and Anna Cashell on violin, Joachim Roewer on viola and William Butt on cello.

Michele Esposito, after whom this string quartet is named and who is the composer of one of the works to be performed, was born in Sorrento in 1855, was a composer and professor of piano at the Royal Irish Academy of Music in Dublin and had a huge influence on music in Ireland in the late 19th / early 20th centuries.


The Quartet will play:

Schubert’s String Quartet No. 2 in C major, D.32
Esposito’s String Quartet No.1 in D major,Op. 33
Beethoven’s String Quartet Op.131
