Bellanaleck Local History Group presents
Cleenish Island Project Exhibition, Bellanaleck Hall.
The exhibition showcases the findings of the group in relation to the houses on Cleenish, built as part of an ex-servicemen’s resettlement scheme after the Great War. The exhibition includes profiles of the eleven men who came to live on the island and looks at why all but one moved away.
On show will be the highly acclaimed collection of photographs taken on the island by photographer Mark Rhead.
Entry free. Offical opening 8 pm on Thursday 14. Guest speaker Elizabeth Crooke, Professor of Museum and Heritage Studies at the University of Ulster. Refreshments served.
Exhibition continues Fri and Sat 10 am to 10 pm; Sun 2-6 pm
