A rare chance to enjoy a thought-provoking, moving and funny

evening of words and music, as County Fermanagh-born poet

Frank Ormsby and Belfast songwriter Anthony Toner read

and perform, taking turns in the spotlight in the Gallery Bar.

Anthony – a gifted singer, guitarist and storyteller – is

the composer of well-known songs like ‘Sailortown’,

‘Well Well Well’ and ‘The Road to Fivemiletown’, and has

performed many times at the theatre, as a solo performer,

or as guitarist with the Ronnie Greer Blues Band.

Frank is one of Northern Ireland’s most revered poets, the

author of collections like ‘A Northern Spring’, ‘A Store of

Candles’, and the recently acclaimed ‘Goat’s Milk: New and

Selected Poems’. He is also renowned for his work as editor

(for two decades) of the acclaimed literary magazine ‘The

Honest Ulsterman’, and as editor of a number of importantpoetry anthologies. Some of his recent poems about

Parkinson’s Disease are being published by Scottish publisher

Mariscat Press in June, and a new collection, ‘The Darkness

of Snow’, is to be published by Bloodaxe Books in 2017.
