About the Event
The 25th William Carleton Society International Summer School takes place from Monday 1 – Thursday 4 August
Based at Corick House Hotel, Clogher but with entertainment at other venues, the Summer School includes talks of local and national interest based around the legacy of the leading 19th Century Irish short story writer William Carleton from Tyrone. A native of Clogher, he spent most of his life in Dublin, where he was an established figure following publication of ‘Traits and Stories of the Irish Peasantry’.
